The card is not the contact

A visiting card holds a name. A contact holds a reason to call. What sales leaders should ask for after every event.

Every sales leader knows the moment. The team is back from an event, energised, with a stack of visiting cards rubber-banded together. A week later, the stack is still on a desk.

A card is a fragile thing

A card holds a name, a title and an email address. It does not hold the conversation: the problem the person described, the pilot they hinted at, the colleague they said you should meet. Those details live in a rep's memory, and memory fades fast.

What a useful contact looks like

A contact your team can act on has three layers:

  1. The facts from the card. Name, title, company, email, phone. Exact and checkable.
  2. The company context. What the company does and who it sells to, so nobody walks into a call cold.
  3. The human detail. Where you met, what you talked about, what happens next.

The first layer is the easy part. The second and third are where pipeline is made or lost.

Ask for the whole record

After the next event, ask a simple question in your pipeline review: for each new contact, could someone else on the team pick up the call tomorrow? If the answer is no, the card made it into the CRM, but the contact did not.

That gap is what Introvelle is built to close. Nobody remembers a card. Introvelle does.

Nobody remembers a card. Introvelle does.
